Prevention of injuries and occupational diseases is the highest priority in the everyday work of Geofizyka Toruń. Our approach to safety at work is expressed in the established goal of NO INJURIES and NO DISEASES. This goal is achieved with:
Continuous hazard identification and risk assessment,
Appropriate HSE planning,
Conscious and uncompromising implementation of established HSE plans in cooperation with the Client and Subcontractors.
Therefore, the Company has implemented and constantly strives to improve the HSE Management System based on OGP/IAGC standards and PN-N-18001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 norms. The system includes eight main elements specified in internal procedures, standards and instructions of safe work in compliance with legal regulations and the best industry standards:
We believe that real leadership and visible commitment of senior management is a key to success. In our company it manifests itself in:
Treating HSE issues as a priority during meetings with employees,
Frequent visits to field units in order to recognize current issues and hazards connected with running field seismic operations and promoting HSE awareness in the seismic group.
As important is the commitment of all Company's employees to build a culture of safe work. It is realized by:
Development of HSE awareness through training seminars (e.g. BBS) and regular HSE meetings,
Introducing modern tools of HR and HSE, e.g. motivating system, positive observations and unsafe acts and conditions reporting system,
Setting clearly specified requirements and assessing employees' performances.
Our basic work rule is that each employee is responsible for their own and their co-workers safety. This is particularly evident in our STOP Work Policy, which guarantees each employee, including the subcontractor's employee, the right to stop work if work conditions create a direct threat for life or health and/or are not in line with HSE regulations.
Company employees are supported in safe work practices by a professional team of HSE Inspectors having broad experience and qualifications (HSE studies, NEBOSH certificates).
